By calling Michelle Obama pretty, 'a big hit' etc you are just making a fool of yourself, she is not even pretty to millions or democrats, most men find her quite ugly.

My photographs from the presidential campaign of Barack Obama have been published all over the world and are routinely seen in the pages of Time magazine, where I am a contract photographer. Even in these days of declining circulation, Time is still the world’s largest newsmagazine and their reach is enormous.

When The Digital Journalist approached me last year I was honored. I knew of the work and effort that went into the site and considered it a formidable trade publication.

I was amazed at the response.

Within days of the launch, I began to receive a flood of notes from people who had seen the work on the site. Mind you, much of this work had already been seen in Time, on their website and in other major publications around the world. Requests for my work because of this exposure began pouring in and links to the work continue to generate interest to this day.

Frankly it was a real David and Goliath story. I had more comments from my colleagues and viewers of the work than I could believe possible or keep up with.

As traditional and electronic publications struggle, I’m convinced The Digital Journalist has carved out a new place that combines trade journal, professional community and is a legitimate and effective venue for visual storytelling.

I love the picture where he is cleaning up after his ice cream drippings. Shows a thorough, meticulous man who is mindful of others and cares about the effect he has on his environment. Truly a telling photo of a great man. I feel honored to be alive when such a man leads our country...especially after the fiasco of the past eight years.

I have faith in President Elect Obama, and hope that he does in fact bring about the change that many of us hope for -- in terms of war, terrorism and world peace.. which includes not sending troops to parts of South east Asia and such. Again, thank you, they're beautiful pictures. Yay for this turning point in World/American history :)

I really, really, really like this gallery. I am impressed with Callie Shell's eye for what is relevant. Keep up the good work, Callie. My favorite picture is the worn shoes picture. When the alternative was $150,000 at Saks.
